Activities include guest speakers and games as well as opportunities to learn more about Prairie Paws Animal Shelter and issues in animal welfare. We create an educational fun environment for our campers!
• Provide Extra TLC – Play with dogs indoors and outside and hang out with the cats
• Read to dogs and cats • Make treats for the shelter dogs
• Create fun crafts for the animals, including toys for dogs and cats
• Fun guest speakers

• See a Spay/Neuter surgery (Optional)

Critter Camp is a fun and informative day camp experience that provides children hands on experience with animals and animal-related activities and projects.
June 10th -14th Confirmed activities: Critter Campers will meet possums and unique rabbits, Midge Grinstead from Humane Society of the United States will be by, travel to Warrior Farms to meet award winning lambs, visit Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic, visit an area Goat Milk Farm and tour the cool The Goat Milk Soap Store in Ottawa, travel to an Alpca Farm (Ad Astra Alpacas), make dog toys, visit with the students and professor from the KState Shelter Medicine Program on the K-State Trailer, learn how to clicker train dogs, travel to the Cedar Cove Feline Conservatory & Education Center, Scott Poore, an Animal Welfare Advocate will visit from Mission Driven and of course the kiddos will spend lots of time with shelter pets and so much more!
