Activities include guest speakers and games as well as opportunities to learn more about Prairie Paws Animal Shelter and issues in animal welfare. We create an educational fun environment for our campers!

• Provide Extra TLC – Play with dogs indoors and outside and hang out with the cats

• Read to dogs and cats • Make treats for the shelter dogs

• Create fun crafts for the animals, including toys for dogs and cats

• Fun guest speakers

• Field Trip

• See a Spay/Neuter surgery (Optional)

• Plus, enjoy awesome games, crafts, activities, team building and so much more!

Registration Fee:
$200.00 (per week session)


Critter Camp is a fun and informative day camp experience that provides children hands-on experience with animals and animal-related activities and projects.

June 10th -14th What a fun session! Critter Campers met possums and unique rabbits, Midge Grinstead from Humane Society of the United States came by, Campers traveled to Warrior Farms and met award winning lambs, they visited Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic, they visited an area Goat Milk Farm and toured the cool The Goat Milk Soap Store in Ottawa, they traveled to an Alpaca Farm (Ad Astra Alpacas), they made dog toys, visited with the students and professor from the K State Shelter Medicine Program on the K-State Trailer, learned how to clicker train dogs, traveled to the Cedar Cove Feline Conservatory & Education Center, Scott Poore, an Animal Welfare Advocate visited from Mission Driven and the kiddos spent lots of time with shelter pets.
